"Knee Socks" is in excellent condition and truely "turn key". Major refits were performed in Fort Lauderdale in 1998 and also in Cruxhaven, Germany in 1999. She has been lengthened and given a new higher bow, a new garage, new aft stair, and new swim platform. Also installed in the garage were extra fuel tanks affording owners over 1200 statute mile range. A deluxe passerelle (gangplank with remotes) was added, along with a new galley. Other items included new 4 bladed props, new rudder and the new fully slaved Robertson Auto Pilot System. All the decks were installed with new teak. In April of 2000 a new larger arch was installed and in July of 2000, a new Atlas Shore-Elite Frequency Converter was added that allows the yacht to accept a wide range of shore power supplies from most any port in the world. Given her construction, oversized stabilizers and her newly heightened bow, this fuel efficient particularly well maintained yacht is extremely sea kindly for safe cruising in coastal waters or offshore. In her last hauling in May 2003, she had her props and shafts reconditioned and three coats of bottom paint. European VAT and U.S import duties have been paid. Until July of 2000 this yacht was owned by a meticulous German engineer and shipyard owner who supervised her construction and upgraded her each year of his seven years of ownership. Previously listed for $1,800,000 Buyers will find her a great value now asking $1,250,000. Owners will consider select larger boats to trade up to.
She sleeps 6 Owners and Guests in (3) staterooms with crew accommodations of 2 berths and private head and shower with their seperate entrance from a hatch forward in the deck. There are four main entertaining and dining areas that accommodate 6+ in the Salon; 8 on the Aft Deck; 4 in the wheelhouse, and 10 on the flybridge.
Down a staircase in the salon is the massive full beam master with king size bed, sofa, and a new 23 inch flat screen TV w/ remote, AM/FM/tape, cove lighting, valances, and en suite head with full sized tub and shower. There is ample storage with drawers and closets to satisfy the most demanding voyager. Cove lighting. To port is a desk with a phone and a new 2004 HP7130 all-in-one color photocopier, scanner, fax with memory card slots for digital camera picture print developments for those wishing to travel with their office.
Forward and to starboard is a GUEST STATEROOM with (2) standard berths facing fore and aft, a table with drawers between, plenty of closet space, and an AM/FM/tape player. It has a good size head with shower. One door joins the stateroom, and the other door opens to companionway to share with the other guest stateroom. That stateroom is forward to port and has one lower berth running fore and aft, one upper athwartships, both standard size, closet space, and shared head across companionway.
The main salon features a large navy blue German suede L-shaped sofa with large matching chair & coffee table, a 25" flat screen TV with remote (new in 2002)and a VCR/AM/FM/CD. For formal dining there is an expandable glass dining table.
On the aft deck you will find a varnished table and settee with deck chairs to seat up to 8 persons, outside shower, swim platform & large swim ladder. Also a stairwell to swim platform and a good-sized garage for storage. For stern docking, there is a heavy duty polished stainless steel passerelle with remotes that have been added. For convienience, safety, and to aide in docking, there's a security camera viewable from the crews' quarters and the flybridge. Galley
"Knee Socks" is run on 220 volts and a 24 volt DC system. Such set up allows vessel to operate with smaller, much quieter generators than normally found on a vessel of this size. At anchor generation can hardly be heard. An inverter is also aboard.
Bimini top new in 2003.
Given a specially soundproofed engine room and exhausts, engine and gensets are barely audible. Complete tools, drills and the like, vacuums including a wet and dry, a portable compressor, many spares and much other gear, few vessels are as fully found. Meticulously kept, ready to go anywhere.
