This 1989 J/Boats J/40 "Delphinium" was designed by Rod Johnstone to be fast, elegant, and rugged. It's widely regarded as one of the best offshore-capable performance cruisers. The J/40 was "Boat of the Year" in 1985 and again in 1986. The larger mainsail and smaller headsails are more easily managed for short-handed sailing. The deck arrangement of the J/40 is near perfect for a cruising boat. The partially balanced large spade rudder provides excellent steering control in all conditions. The J/40 sail area displacement ratio of 18.3 makes her quick and responsive even in light air conditions. The interior was designed for two cruising couples The main saloon is large, open, and comfortable. "Delphinium" is an excellent example of a fresh water J/40 with low usage. Her Volvo Penta diesel has only 893 hours. She is well maintained and fully equipped. If you desire a vessel that can take you anywhere and appreciate performance, comfort, style, and safety, call for an appointment to see "Delphinium" today.
