PILGRIM is a custom Jarvis Newman 30 with a soft top, built in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Her hull was laid up in 1988, and she was launched in 1993. She is an outstanding example of traditional Downeast design: her highly varnished exterior teak and low freeboard make her an excellent boat for summer days in cool New England waters. She deserves the respect her only owner has always shown her, and she will look as perfect on a mooring as she does underway with a seasonal crew.
This boat has had one owner, and the care shows. Custom varnished control knobs, analog gauges behind a hinged plexiglass panel, a folding top bunk, and storage under the wash boards are evidence of a boat that has been carefully thought out. A proven cruiser with 660 hours on her Cummins diesel, she is also an extremely pretty boat. You will not enter a harbor without attracting attention!
