"Time Goes By" is one of LESS THAN 20 shoal-draft Island Packets 27's built. She is also the ONLY IP 27 to ever go through a full refit at the Island Packet factory in 2014. Loaded, self-sufficient, and ready for world cruising...this pocket cruiser has it all!!!!
243 Island Packet 27's were built, but less than 20 were the innovative shallow draft design, with a full keel AND centerboard. "Time Goes By" draws only 2'8" with the centerboard up, making her perfect for cruising the Bahamas and other less-explored areas. And she doesn't ever need to be plugged in to the dock, as she's loaded with new solar panels and a wind generator. Nearly everything on her is brand new!

In 2014, "Time Goes By" went through a full refit at the Island Packet yard. Among the things completely replaced are:
- All new chain plates
- New bobstay
- All new interior cabinetry
- Bulkheads replaced
- Compression post upgraded to accommodate radar cable
- All new stainless opening ports with screens
- New "teak and holly" PlasTeak cabin sole
- Engine and transmission rebuilt by Mastry (the Yanmar distributor for Florida). Yanmar 2GM20F
- Prop shaft and cutlass bearing replaced
Within the last three years, the following was added or replaced:
- All rigging was replaced (standing and running)
- New Profurl roller furling
- New life lines
- New dedicated winch for roller furler added so there is no need to head into the wind to shorten sail
New electronics:
- Garmin 7" 741XS chartplotter with hi-def color radar
- Raymarine i40 wind / speed / depth
- Raymarine i70 smart autopilot
