First built in 1984, they built 1,000 hulls until 1992. The Hunter 23 is a trailerable, family weekender with a winged keel. Her rudder is hung on her reversed transom. The hinged deck stepped mast has a fractional rig, which makes for easy headsail handling. She sleeps 4 with a double V-berth in the forward cabin and on the two settees in the main salon which can be converted to a wide double. There's a galley and a sink. The head is stowed under the V-berth. The headroom is 4'7". Easy is what this boat is all about. Easy to launch are retrieve, easy to rig and easy to sail. Easy to pull her down the road with no need of a permit. This boat is in excellent condition. Retired owner has no use for her.
