REMARKS:
DARUMA is an excellent example of the Hinckley's classic 36 Picnic Boat. The rare combination of traditional aesthetics, modern technology and heirloom quality craftsmanship, the iconic Picnic Boat was designed for comfortable day trips with family and friends with accommodation for two below for coastal cruising. Hinckley's proprietary JetStick system combines control of the waterjet propulsion and bowthuster to provide fingertip control and extremely easy maneuvering in close quarters.
INTRODUCTION:
DARUMA has a history of excellent care by conscientious owners. The first 17 years of her life were spent on the fresh water of Lake Michigan. For the last few years she has been under the care of the Hinckley Yacht Services team in Southwest Harbor, Maine. DARUMA features modern electronics, the optional Stidd helm chair, optional full teak package in pilothouse and cockpit, optional folding anchor roller and Muir windlass. DARUMA has been fully commissioned, is easily seen and will be appreciated by all who take the time to look into her full specification.
DECK & HULL:
Constructed with Kevlar E-glass hybrid and balsa core for materials which is then molded utilizing SCRIMP process with vinylester resin. Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa core, molded with vinylester resin. The deck and cockpit sole have a molded-in nonskid pattern.

The pilothouse is fitted in full Hinckley varnished teak, soft white overheads, and two overhead hatches.

ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT:
Access to the cabin below is through the varnished teak companionway (with removable hatch for more headroom) and down a single step. The galley is to port, private head to starboard and the V-berth forward. DARUMA's interior features satin-varnished cherry bulkheads, trim, and ceiling boards, and a varnished teak and holly sole. An opening overhead hatch with removable screen and opening port lights with screens ensure natural light and ventilation. Medium blue v-berth cushions compliment the Corian countertop. The V-berth is fabric is Dots Meadow and compliments the Antique white countertop.
Galley:
The 2 burner range is set in the Antique White countertop forward and has a custom wood cutting board cover which adds to the already ample counter space surrounding the sink. Microwave is located aft and outboard of the refrigeration locker, which is accessed by a counter lift-up top. A pantry locker with louvered door and several shelves separates the galley from the forward V-berth area. The Alpine stereo is located above that locker.
