Desiree' is a very well kept B40 with many upgrades and is being sold only be cause the owner of 35 years is no longer able to use her. 2006 two year refit at Hinckley include: Bottom peeled and recoated, masts removed and repainted, new standing rigging and chainplates, new aluminum spreaders, new Awlgrip hull , deck and house, ten coats of varnish which is in need of renewing, new stainless steel opening portlights w/ screens, some areas below reveneered, numerous electrical and mechanical upgrades, Dorade vents rechromed. Tides Strongtrack System w/ fully battened sails on main and mizzen 2006. UK Halsey Main , mizzen and roller furling genoa all new 2006. Haven't been raised 10 times since. Sailcovers new 2018, Bimini 2017, Dodger 2016, full cockpit enclosure.2016 Fisher Panda 4200 gen. w/ 130 hrs., Cruiseaire 15000 BTU. Airex 400 watt wind generator, Westerbeke 4-108 w/ 2009 ZF gear,dual alternators w/ Balmar dual alternator regulator, Furuno NavNet at Nav Station w/ repeater at helm, radar,, SSB, weatherfax, Autohelm 6000 + AP.. One of the few B 40s w/ a 12v electric centerboard.
