82' Hatteras Yachts Enclosed Bridge Convertible "REEL-PAIN" is a proven Tournament Winning Sportfisher placing first in the 2004 Bisbee's Black And Blue marlin tournament, earning the boat and her crew $1.2 million dollars.
Whether your lifestyle is suited for cruising or offshore sportfishing, the Hatteras 82 Convertible is well-equipped to meet all your needs with three decks of living space which provide all the features of a mega yacht and more.
"REEL PAIN II" completed a major refit in 2013, including all soft goods, wood paneling, both motors rebuilt as well as generators. A full Simrad electronics suite was also installed in late 2012.
Whether your lifestyle is suited for cruising or offshore sportfishing, the Hatteras 82 Convertible is well-equipped to meet all your needs with three decks of living space which provide all the features of a mega yacht: a huge salon, spacious galley with dining area, full-beam master suite, VIP guest suite, two additional guest suites, and separated crew's quarters. "REEL PAIN II" was designed as a crewed yacht with crew quarters beneath the afterdeck, not forward, allowing for 4-staterooms up forward.
As you step into the massive salon you will immediately notice the 2013 refit. All new ultra-leather covers the two large settee's, and fresh carpeting appoints all the flooring surfaces.
In the Salon to the port side is a custom lit Rod and Reel case to show off all of your tournament gear. Directly across is a well appointed wet bar with icemaker.
Forward and to port is the new entertainment system with a Samsung T.V. Blu-ray, and full RTI automation.
Stepping up is the galley table to starboard and a well laid out Galley to port. The galley features all new wrap-around Corian counter tops, new Fisher&Paykel Refrigerator and freezer, GE 4-burner stove, new GE trash compactor and huge pantry.
Stepping forward and down are all of the berthing accomodations. Aft and to port is the beautiful, full-beam master suite. The Master was completely refit in 2012-2013 and includes all new wood surfaces with a concealed gun safe that is completely hidden in the joinery.
An all new entertainment system was also built-in and includes a 42 inch 3D Samsung T.V. with Blu-ray player. There is a walk-in Cedar lined closet, plenty of drawers, and dual night stands with lamps.
The ensuite head has a Whirlpool bath with seperate shower and new surfaces everywhere.
Forward of the master, working your way down the hall are two mirroring guest Staterooms, each with it's own ensuite head and shower, twin berths, cedar lined closets, and all new Samsung entertainment systems.
There is a Maytag washer/dryer stack in the hallway as well.
All the way forward is a large VIP suite complete with queen berth, ensuite head and shower, Nightstands with lamps, Samsung entertainment system, Cedar lined closets and teak drawers.

"REEL PAIN II" is set up as the ultimate tournament sportfisher with dive capabilities, and the enormous cockpit shows that. The transom has a 150 gallon livewell with handwells for easy bait access. Aft of the mezzanine deck is a Murray Brothers Fighting chair with cover. Under the deck is a large fishbox complete with new Glacier ice chipper and macerator pumpout.
Stepping up to the mezzanine deck, there are two large aft facing benches with great visibility of the cockpit and of the wide lure spread that the 40 foot triple spreader Rupp outriggers provide.
Up on the bow is a 15 foot Boston Whaler with a 2013 Yamaha outboard, Jetski and 2000 pound Davit. There is also a jetski cradle on the port side and two large fiberglass boxes for storage.

The engine room is accessed directly from the cockpit. At the bottom of the stairs to starboard is the dive locker that used to be the crews quarters. It is complete with dive compressor, gear storage and head with shower. To port is a Maytag Washer and dryer.
Forward, the huge motors are almost lost in the spacious standup engineroom. "REEL PAIN II" has only 800 hours on her twin 16v149 Detroits since a major in frame rebuild in 2013. The engineroom has full access to anywhere on the motors and also for the two 60 KW Kohler generators in sound shields. Every motor has a triple Racor providing filtration, oil change system and full instrumentation.

Just aft of the Galley table is a circular stairwell that provides access to the Pilothouse/skylounge. The bridge underwent a complete refit in 2012-2013 and has many notable updates. An all new Simrad electronics suite was installed and includes three Simrad NSE 12's, Wesmar 395 Sidescan sonar, 25kw and 4 kw open array radars, 2kw CHIRP sounder and a new Marine monitor for Sonar and multiple camera display.
Aft of the dual helm seats is a wet bar and to starboard is a built-in Ostrich leather settee that pulls out to make a double berth. To the port side is a large chart table with chart storage below. All the way to port is a new entertainment system that has a 32" Samsung TV on a custom lift, Bose surround sound, Blu-ray, KVH Satellite TV service, and RTI Automation.
When you step out of the Pilothouse door you will find the full aft control station, dual aft facing lounge areas, and plenty of room for deck chairs. The cockpit visibility from this area is outstanding!
Access to the tower is via a center ladder. The tower is equipped with full controls including bowthruster.
