She was delivered to lake Michigan on her own bottom thru the Eric canal and sailed to Chicago.She has been a regular competitor in the Chicago to Mackinac race and placed in her division on occasion. She is the perfect long range cruiser and can be easily be sailed with 2 people.
This particular Grand Soleil 50 boasts 2 aft double sleeping cabins plus 1 queen sized master berth and two heads, both with separate shower stalls.She has a cruisair 12,000 btu and dometic 16,000 btu a/c reverse cycle units to keep the entire cabin at the required temperature.A Traditional layout with an L-shaped galley. Forward facing chart table. Main salon table to port has enough seating for 8 including the hinging bench/stools that also double as ottomans when seated on starboard full length settee.

Engine
She is powered with a single volvo penta MD2 75hp with approx 2800 hours.Complete engine flush 2026. The sail drive and prop were both replaced in 2023. During the fall of 2024/2025 all throttle and cables were replaced along with new batteries for both house and engine start.
