This boat is owned by a seasoned yachtsman who is an engineer's engineer. There have been many nifty personal touches added to this vessel over the past 12 years of ownership that reflect practical design solutions that will make your cruising on "MESSING ABOUT" a comfortable experience.
In addition this GB 36 was repowered at the end of 2011. The old 120 HP Leyman is gone and now she is powered with a 174 HP Yanmar model 6LPA-STP2. The engine has very low hours @ one-hundred and eleven (111). At 80% power this motor will push this yacht at nine knots, a twenty percent (20%) improvement over the Leyman power plant.The burn rate is in the area of four (4) gallons per hour at cruise. The owner has all manuals and records related to his many upgrades, ranging the two vacuflush toilets to the installation of a drip-less shaft system. This vessel is also equipped with a 4KW Kohler generator which will provide power while underway or on the hook.
