The 59 Grand Banks leaves little to desire for the most discriminating Yachtsman. She offers one of the best layouts we have seen for a true owner operator that seeks a high quality vessel. This particular 59 was a special order and has been continually maintained/improved by her original owner. Her owner seems to spare no expense - She is in EXCELLENT condition! This vessel has lived the good life as she has been kept under cover and in fresh water on the TN River when not actively cruising to ports of her owner's choice. Her larger engines allow her to cruise at a peppy 22 knots. She is also very comfortable to run at lower speeds as a result magnificent hull design combined with her NAIAD stabilizers.

She is seriously for sale and ready to go cruising with you and your family!

She is unique in the U.S. market not only because of her agressive pricing, but also because she is the only 59 RPH offered with following combination of options:

  1. Twin C-18 1,000HP CAT POWER
  2. NAIAD stabilization
  3. Dual Generator set up (21.5 KW and 13.5 KW Onan)

Options/upgrades include but are not limited to:

  • Upgraded Brower Systems Davit WC1200 (fully funcitional hydraulic Davit)
  • Custom aft deck/cockpit control station (Thruster,Engines, Transmissions)

The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 2006 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse offers a blend of classic styling, solid construction, and comfortable cruising amenities, making it a popular choice among long-range cruisers. Here are some pros and cons to consider:

Pros

Classic Design and Quality Craftsmanship: The Grand Banks 59 features timeless lines and high-quality teak woodwork, providing both aesthetic appeal and durability.

Spacious Interior: With generous living spaces including multiple cabins, a full galley, and a comfortable salon, it’s well-suited for extended cruising or liveaboard.

Raised Pilothouse Layout: Offers excellent visibility and protection for the captain, enhancing safety and comfort during navigation.

Sturdy Construction: Built with solid fiberglass hull and quality materials, it’s designed for offshore capability and long-range passagemaking.

Reliable Engines: Typically equipped with twin diesel engines known for durability and efficiency, ensuring dependable performance.

Abundant Storage and Tankage: Large fuel and water tanks support extended voyages without frequent refueling or resupply.

Cons

Older Model: Being a 2006 build, some onboard systems and electronics may be outdated and could require upgrading.

Maintenance Intensive: The extensive use of teak and classic construction methods can mean higher maintenance compared to more modern materials.

Fuel Consumption: While efficient for its size and class, the boat’s twin engines and displacement hull mean fuel consumption is higher than smaller or more modern vessels.

Limited Headroom in Some Areas: Certain interior spaces may have lower ceilings, which can feel cramped for taller individuals.

Price Point: Due to its reputation and build quality, pricing for a well-maintained 2006 model can be on the higher side in the used boat market.
