SEABA is a different Grand Banks 49 Motor Yacht. She has a custom low maintenance exterior. There is no teak transom, teak decks or teak handrails, making upkeep a much lighter task.
She also has optional Lugger C125A 460hp diesel engines. These begin as John Deere diesels and Northern Lights in Seattle converts them for marine use. They are durable power plants and they have been maintained to a very high degree.
The current owners purchased SEABA in 2000 in Ft Lauderdale and took the boat to the Great Lakes in 2001. She has been a freshwater boat since, having come back to southwest Florida in 2021. The boat saw use on the Great Lakes for only 4 months per year and was stored indoors during the off season.
During her journey south in 2021, she was hauled at a yard on Chesapeake Bay and underwent an 18 month refit which included complete servicing of the diesel engines, installation of custom tender davits and installation of a complete suite of Garmin electronics on the flybridge and lower station. Much other work was completed at this time (too lengthy to list) and records are available.
A change in health has brought this fine vessel to the market.
