Accommodations
MAIN SALON: The vessel is entered through a starboard side hinged door at the helm station. Directly aft of the starboard side deck door is a dry bar with a hinged lid accessing storage for bottles and glasses. Below is a storage cabinet with drawers. Aft is an L shaped settee with a table. Across on the port side is the traditional small settee. Air conditioning/heat.
The main salon features a portside door providing easier access to the port side deck, especially when the boat is being single handed. There are several overhead lights in the salon and all the large windows, which provide a panoramic view and also open to allow good cross ventilation. The windows all have exterior mesh covers and Sunbrella interior drapes (new 2022) for privacy.
MASTER STATEROOM: SEA BELLE has the standard aft cabin layout with a full berth to starboard and dresser drawers to port. Above the head of the berth is a reading light. There are two sliding windows with drapes port and starboard. The master stateroom head is located forward of the starboard berth. It has a teak grated shower sole, head ( new toilet 2021) and porcelain sink with vanity.
GUEST STATEROOM: The guest cabin can sleep two adults in her V-berth. A second head with shower is aft and to starboard of the v-berth w/marble sink with vanity.
The Grand Banks 36 Classic single engine is considered an ideal, highly popular vessel for the Great Loop, known for its fuel-efficient, stable, and seaworthy semi-displacement hull. The single-engine setup typically offers superior fuel economy (often 3-4 mpg at 7-8 knots) and easier engine maintenance. For the first 31 years of her life Sea Belle was a fresh water boat stored in heated indoor storage during the winter and her condition is indicative of that. She shows n as newer than her age would suggest.
- Fuel Economy: Single-engine configurations provide long range and economical cruising.
- Handling: Full walkaround side decks make docking and locking much easier, particularly for couples or single-handers.
- Design & Layout: Known as a "little ship," the 36 Classic features a comfortable two-stateroom layout, often with two heads.
- Visibility & Protection: Features a flybridge for excellent visibility and a well-protected lower helm.
- Vertical clearance in loop configuration 12'9" to top of windshield or 11'11" with windshield removed
