Overview

The Grady White Fisherman 216 is a versatile and elegant 21-foot center console boat designed with both fishing and family-friendly cruising in mind. Available in seven colors plus the classic Grady White, it features the distinctive Raybovich Shirline that makes it easily recognizable. With an overall length of 23 feet 3 inches including platforms and a hull length of 21 feet 3 inches, the boat offers a beam of 8 feet 6 inches, a shallow hull draft of 16 inches, and a rated capacity for eight passengers. Its design incorporates pronounced Carolina flair in the bow, which effectively throws water to the sides to keep the deck dry in rough conditions.

Exterior Design and Deck Features

The Fisherman 216’s hull is hand-laid using fiberglass, composites, metal, PVC, and foam, with no wood used in the construction. The robust stringer and frame system is foam-filled to ensure buoyancy even if compromised. Freeboard measures 38 inches forward and 28 inches aft, with cockpit depths of 25 inches aft and 34 inches forward, and 22 inches of clearance on each side of the console. Power and Performance

During testing on a warm summer day with light wind and calm water, the Fisherman 216 was powered by a Yamaha F200 outboard with a 14.5 by 15 Reliance SDS propeller. The test weight was 5,063 pounds, including half fuel, full water, two people, and gear. The boat achieved a top speed of 42.5 miles per hour at 5,800 RPM.
