OVERVIEW

Despite their virtues, catamaran fishing boats had a boxy look about them that many anglers found hard to dismiss but the 2680 Coastal runner is something of an exception to the rule, a good looking cat whose graceful profile at least minimizes the reality of her rectangular catamaran shape. the Coastal Runner was the first hardtop model from Glacier Bay and she's based on the same hull as the company's popular 26' center console and cuddy cabin models. Like her predecessors, she's built on a full displacement catamaran (rather than a planing cat) which makes for a much softer ride and better fuel economy. What sets this boat apart from other cats is her weatherproof pilothouse that will appeal to both hot weather climate(Protection from the sun) and cold water anglers(protection from the elements). Note that the cuddy is slightly off center to port which puts the cabin over one of the hulls, thereby increasing head room below and it also means that the starboard walkaround is a little wider than the port walkaround. the cockpit is designed with built in tackle boxes, a 32 gallon livewell, 2 in deck fishboxes and under gunwale rod holders.

Her Twin 150's will cruise her in the 25 knot range and attain a top end speed or around 35.

NOTE: Bottom originally had black bottom paint but NOT bottom painted as kept on a lift for some time now. Most old bottom paint has chipped away. If new owner is going to keep her in the water she'll need fresh bottom paint/ If not remaining bottom paint will be easy removal by soda blast or other fast method.
