This Freya 39, Osprey, has only had 1 owner. The boat was built in Port Townsend, WA by Vance Marine and Port Townsend professional marine tradespeople. The boat was launched 1-year after coming out of the mold. Osprey has been kept in very good condition with regular maintenance.
The Freya 39 is a heavy-displacement, double-ended cutter designed by Trygve Halvorsen and inspired by the original wooden Freya - the only yacht to win three consecutive Sydney-Hobart Races (until recently). The design emphasizes a long, full keel with a cutaway forefoot, ensuring exceptional directional stability and safety in heavy seas. It's pedigree is rooted in the Halvorsen Family's Scandinavian traditions, modified for speed and offshore performance to create a proven cruiser capable of long-distance cruising.
