Designed by German Frers and built by Carroll Marine in Bristol, Rhode Island, MERLIN (Ex BRIGADOON V) is hull #1 of 23 Frers 41s built between 1988 and 1989, featuring Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides, Grand Prix deck layout with comfortable cruising interior. In 1988, the Frers 41 won the SAILING WORLD Boat of the Year Award, and BRIGADOON V was Key West Race Week Boat of the Week.
The current owner has continually upgraded the boat: deck refinished with KiwiGrip in 2014, a new rudder in 2013, Yanmar 40hp diesel, fuel tank, water tanks, water heater, Edson steering system, life lines, interior cushions and covers, Raymarine GPS/chartplotter, dodger, cockpit cushions, all running rigging, custom bow sprit, Carbon Fiber Piranha main & A2, and many more.
