Overview

The Formula 400 Supersport Crossover is a versatile multi-mission vessel designed to blend comfort, style, and functionality. Its design emphasizes a seamless flow from the swim platform to the bow seating with a single-level deck, eliminating trip hazards and enhancing safety. The boat features a rugged hardtop with a wide wraparound windshield, providing protection and ample overhead clearance of 6 feet 5 inches.

Exterior Design and Main Deck Features

The main deck serves as the central hub for social activities, highlighted by Formula's smart zone design. Above the helm’s three-wide seat is a U-shaped lounge that transforms at the touch of a button: the deck rises to form a large sun pad, and raising it further converts it into a table suitable for cocktails or lunch. Upholstery throughout the boat is customizable through the Formula Flex program, allowing owners to select colors and textures. Practical storage solutions include dedicated brackets for bow sunshade poles in a locker beneath the forward bench, which also features easy-to-open cushioned lids. The port side houses a mounting point and dedicated locker for a flat-screen TV, with plugs and jacks integrated into the backrest. Opposite this is a 4 1/2 bench seat that extends the conversation area.

Galley and Entertainment Amenities

Forward of the seating area is an alfresco galley console equipped with an angled sink designed to maximize counter space, a designer-style faucet, and a hideaway cover. The galley includes three drawers for utensils and kitchen gear, a refrigerator for cold drinks, and additional storage above. A locker contains a trash can and paper towel holder. Safety and convenience are enhanced by a handhold matching the countertop’s oblique angle and dedicated blender storage beside the fire extinguisher. An optional electric grill is housed in a console above the bench seat, positioned to keep smoke out of the hardtop area. The grill features a hinged silicone cover to protect upholstery and doubles as a food prep surface. The hardtop’s aft end includes a power-actuated awning that extends to shade the cockpit, complementing the flexible aft seating with split, flipping backrests. Additional exterior features include grab rails with an oblique angle design, a pull-out shower on the swim platform, and pull-up cleats for unobtrusive mooring. The expansive swim platform also offers receivers for racks to hold two stand-up paddleboards.

Helm and Bow Area

The helm area is outfitted with a standard Rockford Fosgate stereo system and ten LED-illuminated JL Audio speakers distributed throughout the boat, including below decks, with remote controls for convenience. The locking glovebox includes USB outlets, and a phone tray is positioned below. Ventilation is enhanced by quarter light vents on both sides of the main deck. Storage solutions include a sliding rack for an optional Yeti Tundra 35 cooler beneath the helm seat. Ambient blue LED lighting is integrated into the hardtop panels and discreet cockpit locations for nighttime ambiance. A power sunroof is controlled via helm dash rockers or a touchscreen multifunction display, which also manages all digital electrical switching and can be accessed remotely through an available iPad. The bow benefits from a sliding windshield section on the port side that opens the foredeck and is secured by a barrel latch. A clear acrylic air dam helps shield the area from wind. Bow seating is thoughtfully designed with cutouts beneath padded bolsters to accommodate speakers, beverage holders, grab rails, and USB charging jacks. An armrest folds down to reveal additional beverage holders, and a two-piece table offers flexible configurations, including conversion into a sun pad with an available filler cushion. The sunshade uses poles mounted in the tops of four bow rail stanchions, and the area is equipped with remote stereo controls and ample speakers, creating an inviting lounging environment.

Lower Deck Accommodations and Amenities

Accessed via a sturdy three-step companionway, the lower deck offers six feet 5 inches of headroom and natural light through opening windows for ventilation. To port, a console houses a refrigerator flanked by AC and DC electrical panels, with a locker for a fire extinguisher. Controls for air conditioning, stereo, and the launch port iPad are conveniently located on a column in the salon. The forward dinette features a squared-off pedestal table with seating on the forward bench; the table can rotate to ease movement and lowers to create a berth with a filler cushion. A flip-up backrest enhances legroom and adds storage space. On the starboard side, a microwave and flat-screen TV are installed. The galley area includes a Corian countertop with a covered sink, whose cover can be removed or stowed away. Beneath the sink, manual water system controls, a tank gauge, and dedicated storage for trash and paper towels are provided. The wet head offers 6 feet 2.5 inches of overhead clearance, a porcelain toilet, a wand shower, Corian counters, overhead storage, and an exhaust fan. The mid-cabin berth, located behind the head and companionway steps, measures 77 inches long by 63 inches wide with 28 inches of headroom. It features a starboard hull side window, private TV, electrical outlets, USB jacks, a carbon monoxide alarm, and a mounting point for the launch port iPad.
