This beautiful boat was built in Taiwan in '86 and was used by the manufacturer as a display boat until March '89 when it was first sold and registered. At that time, all standing and running rigging and sail-handling gear were replaced by the manufacturer, bringing the boat up to 1989 model specifications. Additionally, a two-part epoxy barrier coat was applied, followed by two coats of bottom paint. In July of this year, the bottom was painted with Trinidad Petit black. She is one of two Fair Weather Mariners built with teak decks.

The vessel was designed by Robert Perry as a high-performance world cruiser. The exceptional hull design with fin keel and Autoprop variable pitch propellor provide sailing characteristics that result in excellent tracking, perfect balance, outstanding stability and above all, speed. The theoretical hull speed is 7.86 knots which she easily achieves and readily exceeds. The combination of the modified fin keel very large skeg and rudder system provide the tracking and stability you'd expect to find on a full keel boat, yet with the balance, pointing ability, speed and control of a fin keel boat.
