Everglades 350 CC: BoatTEST Review

Reviewed by Jeff Hammond

Overview

Located in Northeast Florida, Everglades is a boat builder renowned for producing highly specialized vessels. Their flagship model, the 350 Center Console (350CC), is a rugged fishing boat designed with high-end quality, extensive standard features, and advanced electronics. This vessel stands out as a hardcore fishboat, combining performance and technology in a unique package.

Exterior Design and Deck Features

The 350CC features a spacious bow area with a three-wide bench seat that is both plush and contoured, equipped with side grab handles, drink holders, and safety-conscious headrests. A hydraulically actuated table can be deployed via a toggle switch to accommodate all passengers or stowed down to expand the fishing space. Surrounding the bow are massive storage lockers, including lockable compartments in the gunnels designed for rods and reels. The foredeck houses an anchor hatch with access to the windlass, control switches, and a fresh or raw water wash-down hose. Six additional gunnel storage lockers provide ample space for lines and personal flotation devices. Safety and convenience are enhanced by a wide gunnel cap with powder-coated bow railing, thick coaming pads, rod storage, and tow rails.

Command Center and Hardtop

The helm station of the 350CC is both high-tech and comfortable, featuring digital instrumentation and anti-fatigue matting on the deck. A digital accessory switch panel manages a sophisticated security system that protects the valuable Navionics navigation package. The helm seats are electric bolster chairs, offering adjustable comfort for the operator. Below the center console lies a well-appointed head compartment with a toilet, sink, shower, and a quarter berth for resting. The hardtop is robustly constructed with a powder-coated frame capable of supporting outriggers, antennas, rocket launchers, and even a tuna tower, making it highly functional for serious anglers.

Fishing and Bait Preparation Amenities

The 350CC excels as a bait preparation station, equipped with both fresh and saltwater sinks, a deep live well, and a spacious cutting board. Tackle storage is abundant, and a fold-down fighting chair enhances the fishing experience. These features collectively provide a comprehensive setup for anglers who demand efficiency and convenience on the water.

Power and Performance

Powered by triple Honda BF225 four-stroke outboards, the 350CC benefits from engines that are also used in Honda's automotive models like the Odyssey and Pilot. These engines feature a two-stage air induction system that optimizes airflow at both low and high speeds, supported by a 60-amp power-driven alternator that delivers 48 amps at 1,000 RPM to ensure ample electrical power for onboard systems. Weighing 9,260 pounds without engines, the 35-foot, 4-inch boat has a 10-foot, 8-inch beam and can carry up to 14 people or 6,630 pounds. On the water, it cruises comfortably at 20.4 miles per hour, achieving a fuel efficiency of 1.66 miles per gallon and a range of 613 miles per tank. Its top speed reaches 50.3 miles per hour at 5,750 RPM, demonstrating strong performance and seaworthiness.

Conclusion

The Everglades 350 Center Console is a distinctive and highly capable fishing boat that combines rugged construction, advanced technology, and thoughtful design. Its powerful Honda engines, spacious and well-equipped deck, and comfortable helm area make it suitable for serious anglers who demand both performance and comfort. This vessel represents a significant offering in the center console market and is worthy of consideration by those seeking a premium fishing platform.
