Overview
The Everglades 253CC is a hybrid center console boat that combines the deep V hull design typical of offshore center consoles with the low freeboard and shallow water capabilities of a bay boat. This versatile 26-foot 10-inch vessel is designed to deliver both offshore performance and inshore functionality, reflecting Everglades' commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Exterior Design and Deck Layout
The aft casting deck measures 6 feet 4 inches wide and 3 feet 5 inches fore and aft at its widest point, featuring a non-skid surface for safety. The cockpit spans 7 feet 3 inches wide by 2 feet 10 inches fore and aft, equipped with aft jump seats inspired by outdoor furniture design. These seats have bottoms that push forward when the backrests are raised, and the backrests latch securely to prevent movement while underway. Between the seats, a cooler hatch opens on a tension hinge, eliminating the need for gas struts. The cooler's drain hose and all ten combination cup and rod holders are double clamped with rubber-capped clamps, ensuring all drainage is directed overboard rather than into the bilge. Four JL Audio speakers are positioned in each cockpit corner, complemented by raw water and fresh water flush systems on port and starboard sides respectively. The battery charger plug and undergunnel rod storage are conveniently located forward on the port side. The entire aft seat assembly lifts on stainless steel gas struts for easy maintenance access, revealing a bilge finished to the same high standard as the boat's exterior.
