Ellis is a high end traditional Downeast line of boats. This 36 runs on a semi-displacement hull with a keel to help track a straight line and protect and sluff off the trap lines. She runs smooth in varying sea conditions and has a bow flair to help keep you dry. The beam of this boat offers a large comfortable interior space both on the helm deck and below.
The moveable and removable double wide cockpit and mate seating are extremely versatile: both rise, lower, move forward and aft with a push of a button, as well as raise and lower to accommodate anyoneââ¬â¢s height. When the helm seat faces forward, you have adjustable foot rests and when facing aft, you can adjust for dining with a large fold out table that stores in place and works perfectly for dining for 4 or serving out to the cockpit party-style! The companion mate seat also has adjustable foot rests when forward facing and when aft facing joins into the seamless large seating area from helm to cockpit or adapt to sleeping berth. When all is open, this helm/cockpit area can easily seat 12-14
Below to port is a well equipped, sunlit galley. Ample storage for all your needs and great counter space to conjure up a snack or a full meal. Opposite there is a full dinette that sits four very comfortably. The bow berth is huge, plenty of room to stretch out. There is ample storage, hanging lockers, cabinets, etc. everywhere you look is another great spot showing off amazing utilization of space.
Ellis was founded back in 1947 by Ralph Ellis and Raymond Bunker and they soon created a remarkable legacy that carries into todays yachts. Ralphs son Don Ellis took over in the 1980ââ¬â¢s to continue the tradition and his two sons Shane and Anthony are doing the same. There have been over 300 Ellis boats built to date.
