Pilothouse Fast Trawler
1 Engine (Caterpillar)
50 feet
Diesel
Fiberglass/Reinforced
This high-grade custom 50' Duffy Fast Trawler with the hull stamped 2006 she was completed in 2008 by Atlantic Boat Works in Brooklin, Maine. "Endurance" was built for a very discerning, engineering minded owner. She is of the "Finest Kind" as they say in Maine. There is no bright work on the exterior, but gorgeous "Herrshoff" style finish on the interior.
Her engine room is a full stand up, walk around work of art. A Caterpillar C-18, 1015 hp single engine gives Endurance lots of power and speed. She is quick & lively with a large 5 blade prop and "Barn Door Rudder". There is new equipment everywhere.
The wheelhouse is a Captain's dream. This is what wheelhouses are supposed to look like. Excellent new or recent electronics that need no upgrade, and are well displayed. The master stateroom with a King Size bed is large and comfortable with separate shower and head.
The current owners are both highly qualified and experienced boaters. They have taken an outstanding boat and improved and upgraded her as only people who have lived aboard can do. Endurance is truly ready to go to sea.
Endurance was built as a two person boat with grandchildren. The guest stateroom is really a bunk room. If you need a stateroom to entertain guests that need space, Endurance is not the boat for you.
Endurance was designed by Spencer Lincoln, the father of the modern Down East design. She looks like a boat should, and preforms as such. She is the boat everyone looks at when she comes to the dock. Endurance is only for sale because of an unusual and unique opportunity that has come the owner's way and there's just not enough time to do everything. . .
