HISTORY TO TODAY:

Oceanis started life in 1980 being built by Micron Ships of Louisiana. She spent the first portion of her life working Americas oil fields as a liquid mud transport vessel. After doing that for some time she was sold to an outfit out of the North East to be a clam dredge. After working there for many years she was sold yet again to a tour boat operation on the detroit river. In the early 2000s the current owners purchased her in a state of disarray.

Through 4 years of innovation and hard work on the shores of Lake Huron Oceanis was reborn into her current life as a private expedition yacht. The owners have decided to continue their adventures on their smaller boat and on land She currently resides in Apalachicola Florida.

SUMMARY:

Oceanis is 68' overall in length 22'3" in beam and holds 3000 gallons of fuel. She has an engine room big enough to disassemble her engines and rebuild them without ever having to remove them. She carries her beam almost bow to stern. She is a bit of a heavy weight weighing in at 81 tons but thanks to her large wheels and bow/stern thruster she manages her bulk well.

She is fully self sufficient and is capable of being at sea for months if provisioned properly. Her range of approximately 2000 miles at 7Kn is impressive and there is room for additional fuel tanks for those wishing to cross the Atlantic or Pacific.

She is a roomy 3 stateroom 2.5  head which comfortably sleeps 6 with ease. She is being offered with and without tenders so accommodate a wider audience. This is one of the most photographed boats youâll ever sail and youâll never run out of conversations at every port you come into. In summary Oceanis is custom beauty who has had many lives prior to her next owner and will undoubtedly have many more after.
