2010 Custom Carolina 25 Sport Cabin Fiberglass Boat
This is a unique opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind fiberglass Downeaster Sport Cabin. The entire hull, decks, bulkheads, and cap is either solid fiberglass or composite.
Unlike a production sport cabin of similar size, the downeaster is a boat that can handle moderate to rough seas. When in comparison to a production sport cabin, you have a softer ride, no pounding, and a boat more stable on the drift, just simply an all-around better sea boat.
The boat was built for a very knowledgeable Carolina sportfisherman and sold within a few years of its original custom build to the current owner. The boat is stored, when not in use, in a well ventilated commercial building and is meticulously maintained. One look at the appearance and it's obvious the care and maintenance this boat has received over the years.
She is powered by a single 315 HP Yanmar diesel with a NEW MerCruiser outdrive. The outdrive has a one-year transferable warranty, good till October 2023. The engine only has 842 hours. She also has a 5.2 KW Phasor generator, 120VAC with only 271 hours, and when at the shore, a 30 amp 120VAC cockpit plug-in.
The cabin has a full lower helm, V-bunk forward and a 12000 BTU Cruisair Heating and A/C system. There is a Cobia tower station on the hardtop with full electronics, and a folding buggy top for trailering. Mounted on the hardtop is 18' carbon fiber riggers with inside cabin control handles.
She has a very large fishing cockpit, a leaning post rocket launcher with 4 rod holders mounted on the engine box, a total of 8 flush rod holders in the gunwale, a 7 rod holder rocket launcher mounted across the aft hardtop, and a center rigger mount on the tower ring aft. The cockpit has a fresh / saltwater washdown and port / stbd 12VDC electric reel receptacles below gunwale.With a Lemar windlass, stainless anchor fairlead, and a galvanized plow anchor....days and nights on the hook is a breeze, fishing or cruising, and don't forget you have a generator to make the experience even more enjoyable.
