The Cruisers 540 Express is an offshore thoroughbred, with the performance, handling, accommodations and storage necessary for long-term cruising. The abovedeck configuration includes: a walk-around helm area that gives the pilot and co-pilot easy helm access; generous horseshoe seating aft that can be electrically converted to a spacious sunlounge; an aft deck / platform seating area; a wet bar with refrigerator / icemaker for onboard entertaining and plenty of storage for water toys. A stylish hardtop with opening sunroof is standard.
The airy interior of the 540 Express is aglow with the warmth of cherry wood and exquisite detailing. The two- stateroom layout features a forward stateroom with large island berth and an amidships master stateroom, which boasts a large island berth and a walk-in, cedar-lined closet.
The 540 features a galley equipped with a large refrigerator / freezer with icemaker, a double sink, an electric three-burner stove, a microwave / convection oven with exhaust fan and a coffee maker. The 540 provides a large, crescent-shaped dinette with an electric lift dinette table that stows under the floor and raises automatically for use.
Forward of the galley to port, she also offers bar-style seating for informal dining. The forward head offers secondary access from the forward stateroom. The aft head, located to starboard aft of the dinette, serves as the master head, with private access.

This popular model (called the 5370 Express in 2002; 5470 Express in 2003; 540 Express in 2004u201306; and the 560 Express in 2007u201311) is the largest express-boat offering yet from Cruisers. The interior is finished entirely in cherrywood with excellent detailing, and Cruisers offers a choice of two- or three-stateroom layouts. Each stateroom has a full head with shower and a washer/dryer can be added in either configuration. (Note that the hardwood dinette table in the salon retracts electrically into the floor when not in use.) Topside, the circular lounge aft in the cockpit converts at the push of a button into a huge sun pad. Visibility from the walkaround helm is excellent and wide side decks provide secure access to the foredeck. Additional features include a fully cored hull, prop pockets, excellent access to the spacious engine room, and an extended swim platform with a transom compartment for an optional davit. Among several engine choices, Volvo 715hphp V-drive diesels cruise at 28 knots (low to mid 30s top).
