This Crownline 242 CR is a 24-foot family express cruiser made popular thanks to her practical layout and very competitive price. Like most cruisers in her class, the 242 CR rides on a solid fiberglass modified V hull with relatively high freeboard and a trailerable 8'6" beam. Her midcabin interior provides the amenities one expects in a big cruiser with berths for four, wraparound dinette, full-service galley with stove, microwave and refrigerator, and an enclosed head. It also features a Corian galley counter and pullout shower fixture in head.
The 242's cruiser cockpit, with its bench seating aft, comfortable companion lounge, and double helm seat (with flip-up base) seems large for a 24-footer. Standard features include a cockpit table, wood grain dash, cockpit shower, transom door, and wet bar with sink and storage. All under a canvas look brand new canopy with an elegant modern style. Engine access is excellent. Among all the amenities, it comes with a new dealer installed Mercruiser engine 5.7 ltr, still under warranty until 7/2015.
