Are you tired of looking at worn-out project boats that will sap your energy and drain your bank account?  If so, you need to see Gypsy Soul.  She is a moderate displacement cutter-rigged sailboat designed for extended coastal and offshore cruising.  Over the years, she has been extensively upgraded and consistently maintained.  The stainless steel radar arch combined with davits, stainless portholes; and varnished teak interior make for a beautiful yacht.  Most importantly, her quality upgrades and safety equipment help ensure safe, comfortable cruising.  Her slip is transferrable to the new owner.

In December 1984, Pacific Yachting magazine had this to say about the Coast 34 by Clearwater:  ââ?¬Å?The Coast 34 was designed by Graham Shannon for Bruce Roberts Design, when they had a office in Vancouverââ?¬Â¦.  The original design was for a moderate displacement modern cruising boat for extended coastal or offshore curising and live-aboard.  To achieve this, Shannon went for a modern performance cruising hull-form which has won acceptance as a good compromise between the need to carry a load of cruising gear and the desire to sail well both to windward and off the wind.  ââ?¬Â¦  With a displacement of 15,750 lbs she has a displacement/length ratio of 310, which puts her plumb in the middle of the serious cruising-boat range.ââ?¬ï¿½

Gypsy Soul has a fin keel, skeg-hung rudder, canoe stern, and a Volvo Penta saildrive.  She can be sailed as either a cutter or a sloop, since the baby stay can be quickly attached to the deck plate, or pulled to the side using a quick-release fitting.  Navigation is provided by a laptop mounted on the binnacle guard, backed up by two independent GPS units below that provide latitude and longitude.  Radar is on a swing-out arm at the top of the companionway.  Her high freeboard provides for dry decks when under way, even in rough seas.  The dodger and surround afford comfort even in cold weather, as heat is trapped in the ââ?¬Å?greenhouseââ?¬ï¿½, and a bus heater at the bottom of the companionway heats the cabin and cockpit while under motor.  She comes with a complete set of cockpit cushions, including backs.

For her length, Gypsy Soul has a roomy, efficiently laid out interior.  She sleeps 2-4 comfortably, and 6 in a pinch.  Ample dry storage and a LARGE, custom refrigerator/freezer allow for significant provisioning.  Her hull is Airex cored, which insulates the interior from the cold water.  This makes her easy to keep warm inside, and mimimizes condensation on the interior of the hull.  She has no moisture or mold issues in the living space.  For cold-weather cruising, a diesel wall heater is located in the main salon.

Gypsy Soul carries an oversized (55#) primary Rocna anchor with 300 feet of half 7/16 inch chain and half nylon braid rode.  After you are at anchor, getting ashore is easy in a dinghy that seats 3 and rows easily.  The dinghy is easily launched and retrieved from the husky stainless steel davits.  The dinghy comes with an electric outboard motor and a complete sailing rig which has never been used.  GYPSY SOUL also comes with an extensive set of operational notes and/or standard operating procedures for on-board systems and equipment. This yacht is worthy of your serious consideration.  It will be difficult to find a comparable yacht at this price that offers quality construction, excellent condition, and comparable upgrades.
