This Trawler is one of only four Twin engine models. She has the very economical Perkins 85 hp diesels.

Chris Craft built only eight of these beautiful and durable trawlers. There were 4 with single Perkins engines and only 4 with Twin Perkins engines. This is one of only 4 with the Twin Perkins Engines.

They were designed by noted naval architect Charley Morgan. Originally, these trawlers were called West Indian 36 and built by Heritage Yachts, Morgan's company. Chris Craft bought the tooling and upgraded the design and called the trawler a Chris Craft 362 West Indian Trawler. The sheer has that characteristic graceful downeast upward sweep. Her moderate displacement hull features a modified V bottom with full length keel and deep soft riding forefoot for directional control and sea keeping ability as well as protection for the propeller and rudder

The current seller has loving restored much of the boat to her original glory.

She has TWO strong running 85 Hp Perkins diesels, newer genset and has had the fuel tanks replaced. All the heavy lifting is completed for you. Bottom cleaning noted plenty of zinc and ready for sea trial.

The electronics although working may need to be updated by the new owner. Perhaps some waxing and this boat is ready for some cruising.

She has outstanding range with her 350 gallon fuel capacity and burns only about 3 gph at 7 knots. She is a very comfortable long range cruiser or liveaboard. Her long keel protects the prop and her beamy hull ensures stability.

This trawler has a modern low maintenance exterior with fiberglass decks, stainless hand rails, and metal frame windows.

The sedan style allows for a nice aft cockpit and walk around side decks for easy access to mooring lines when dockside.

The salon is spacious and open with an L shaped settee that converts to sleep two.

The galley is starboard. There are two nice cabins, one is an amidships with pullman double and the other forward with Vee berth, a vanity sink, with Marine head. All of the drawers and hanging lockers are cedar lined. The head is large and has a separate stall shower. The smaller cabin has two opening ports and an overhead hatch. There is yet another overhead hatch and four opening ports in the forward cabin.

The galley with full size double S/S sinks, Hot & Cold Pressure water, electric range and refrigerator.

The flybridge is reached by a ladder from the cockpit. It is large and shaded with a large bimini, with centerline helm. A great place to watch the sun set.
