This 1978 34' CHB is a great vessel for a weekend warrior or to live aboard on Shelter Island. With an approved application from the marina!
The current owner has owned Sea Shanty for 5 years and has done considerable upgrades and routine maintenance. The owner is moving out of San Diego, it's time for Sea Shanty to find an owner who loves the trawler life and is ready to get her back out on the water.
Some of the updates include:
Leaking teak decks and the rotten core boards were all removed and fiberglass decks installed with nonskid tread.
The galley was updated with a new sink, faucet, and tile counter.
Both heads were updated with new counters, toilets, faucets and new brightened looks. Both can still be converted into wet heads.
All cushions in both cabins and the salon were replaced and reupholstered.
The engine room and bilge were repainted and sealed. Fuel tanks were repaired and reinstalled, together holding 300 gallons of fuel.
The 120 hp Ford Lehman Diesel engine is known for its longevity and has proven its worth time and time again.
There is also a Northern Light Genset with 768hrs.
The vessel is owned by an LLC.
