This is a big, comfortable express cruiser with a 10' beam, twin engines, full cabin, A/C and plenty of room for weekends on the water. I've put a considerable amount of time and money into addressing mechanical and cosmetic items rather than leaving them for the next owner.
The biggest thing that sets this boat apart is the hours: 289 hours on the port engine and 287 hours on the starboard engine. It is powered by twin MerCruiser 4.3L engines, giving you the maneuverability of twins without stepping up to the fuel consumption of twin V8s.

Cabin
This is a true overnight/weekend cruiser, not just a cuddy cabin.
The 10' beam gives the Signature 280 a surprisingly large interior with approximately 6'4" of headroom. It has multiple sleeping areas, including a separate aft sleeping area, along with a galley and enclosed marine head.
It also has air conditioning, which makes a huge difference when spending nights aboard during the summer.
There is no generator and no windlass.
Cockpit & Exterior
The cockpit has plenty of seating for family and friends, along with an extended swim platform and boarding ladder. A walk-through windshield provides easy access to the bow.
Twin engines make docking and maneuvering much easier than a comparable single-engine cruiser.
The boat includes a 1988 Vanguard trailer, which is a major benefit for storage, hauling and service rather than being limited to keeping the boat in a slip.

This is a 25-year-old boat, so I'm not representing it as a brand-new boat. What I can say is that I've spent the time addressing a number of the mechanical and cosmetic issues that commonly come with an older cruiser.
If you're shopping older Sea Ray Sundancers, Four Winns Vistas, Regal Commodores or similar express cruisers, the Signature 280 is worth a look. The combination of the very low engine hours, twin power, 10' beam, A/C, recent updates and included trailer makes this a lot of boat for the money.
