You can't go to marina anywhere in the world without seeing a Catalina 36. That has to say something for their Quality of build, respect, sailing ability, and popularity; and the MKI version like Rissa started it all in the early 1980s, thanks to Frank Butler. Many of the older MKI versions have slipped into disrepair and deferred maintenance, but when you lay eyes on Rissa, hull #616, you would swear you stepped into a time warp. With the new Catalina 360 series coming in at over $300K the sailboat value you receive with Rissa is amazing.
This Fresh water example came down the rivers from the Great Lakes from Milwaukee to Mobile, and had new, bottom paint, thru hulls inspected and serviced, mast and rigging off and professionally inspected and replace where necessary, and prop serviced in Oct. 2025 right here at our marina. The last survey was in 2020, it has low engine hours due to being a Great Lakes boat, with only seasonal use and the the sails, main, 130 and 150 genoas are crisp and full of life, with a stack pack main cover with lazy jacks. Also it has the desired full cockpit enclosure, cockpit cushions, and folding table. Also it has a full winter canvas boat cover. She sports AC unit, LED lighting, propane grill, microwave/air fryer/convection oven/broiler unit, DC refrigeration, and water filter.
This example of a future "classic" is ready for it's next adventure. The current owner is looking for something a bit bigger before adventuring into the big salt of the Pacific.
