Moon River is a 1986 Catalina 36 with Sloop rig, fin keel, spade rudder and a keel stepped mast.. She is a wonderful family boat that successfully combines luxurious accommodations, a secure workable deck plan and outstanding performance under sail.
The hull is efficient and stable with graceful lines and has been designed with enough volume for spacious accommodations. The rig is powerful but still easily handled by a short-handed crew. The rudder is a balanced blade with a long horizontal skeg molded into the hull for a light helm and good tracking ability. The decks have molded in bulwarks and non-skid. The side decks are wide and carried well aft for secure access to the cockpit, even with the dodger in place.
Moon River's knowledgeable owner has made many upgrades to the boat in 2013/14 which includes VHFw/ AIS, RAM MIC, Garmin color chartplotter, GPS, NEW nav lights, motor lifting davit, inflatable dinghy, 6HP Tohatsu outboard, fully battened main, EZ Jax, NEW fuel tank, NEW water heater, FRESH bottom paint July 2014, and much more..
