"According to Catalina, the 350 is the "biggest boat and only true 35-footer" in its class. The company also says the boat incorporates "many desired features usually found in larger vessels." And it isn't kidding. With a 13-foot beam on a 35-foot, 3-inch LOA and a resulting length-to-beam ratio of 2.71, this boat is big with a capital "B." Thanks to recent advances in hull technology, however, Catalina has been able to keep the total displacement of the hull down to 13,635 pounds, resulting in a more moderate displacement-to-length ratio of 219." Spartina is well maintained and ready to go for an overnight or extended cruising. The main cabin is arguably the biggest I have seen on any 35 footer around and very comfortable with 6'9" of headroom. The master stateroom features an island queen berth with inner-spring mattress and an after cabin with queen inner spring mattress. With starboard and port berths, she can comfortably sleep 7.

Amenities include a stall shower, H&C cockpit shower, air conditioning, 1500 watt inverter, satellite radio, Raymarine instruments, GPS and ST5000+ auto pilot, Dutchman flaking for the main, 135 furling jib, shoal draft and electric windlass and Garhauer motor lift. Power is a Universal 35B 3 cylinder 30 hp with about 600 hours - not even broken in!

Spartina is ready to go for cruising in style. At 35 feet, she is easy to handle and with a shoal draft keel (4'6"), will get into more harbors than deeper keel boats. For comfort on the water, Spartina is tough to beat at a very reasonable price.
