A handsome yacht with an elegant profile, the 450 Voyager is a downsized version of Carver's popular 530 Voyager introduced the previous year. Built on a modified-V hull with propeller pockets and a moderate 15 degrees of transom deadrise, the floor plan of the 450 Voyager is quite innovative. The galley is located in the isle way opposite the elevated lower helm (and not in the deckhouse as with most pilothouse designs). The salon is huge with wet bar, Samsung HD 46" LED TV, an amazing salon theater sound system with Fusion stereo head deck, 5 JL audio amps, 5 JL audio 12" subwoofers, 26 JL speakers total, direct TV satellite and blu ray players There are two staterooms each with HD 42' LED TVs and two full heads with upgraded flooring below, and visibility from the lower helm-with its curved Ultraleather lounge-is superb. Facing settees and a built-in entertainment center dominate the salon with its oversized wraparound cabin windows. On deck, a fly bridge extension partially shelters the cockpit where the engine room is accessed via the lazarette. Additional features include full fly bridge enclosure, canvas covers, pneumatic davit on aft fly bridge, 2005 AB dinghy, Simrad NSS 14 touch screen electronics Radar, depth sounder, bow thrusters, autopilot, engine room and cockpit IR color cameras, 5 new Lifeline AGM batteries, underwater lights, upgraded pure sine wave inverter, 4 zone air conditioning, custom bar backsplash, upgraded faucet fixtures throughout, cherry interior joinery, a deck access door at the lower helm (a great convenience), a big swim platform with Glen Deny power cord retractor, and an extremely well arranged fly bridge with iPod/iphone compatible stereo system. A good performer with 370hp Cummins diesels, the 450 Voyager will cruise at 17 knots and reach a top speed of around 22 knots.
