Watermark has been used lightly on the Chesapeake since 2000 with the current owner and has had numerous upgrades in the basic design during that time to maintain a strong sailing ability.  Previous history indicates residing in New Jersey, North Carolina with initial life in Washington State and sailed the 3/4T Championships in 1976.

Recent Work
  • Significant notes on maintenance history available including complete hull strip and finish
  • Bottom renewed with racing finish/VC Offshore in 2011, repainted with Sea Hawk Cukote in 2025
  • Cabin top repainted in 2016
  • Cockpit non-skid repainted 2018
  • Self-tailing Lewmar jib winches added
  • Deck balsa core has been replaced with foam core in most areas
  • Mast, deck and hull free-board have been Awlgrip painted/ free-board clear coat refinished 2022
