Every once in a while, a boat comes along that has been perfectly set up for its intended purpose. "Perfect Pitch" is such a boat, and her intended purpose is cruising. Her owners have cruised her extensively and are ready for new adventures on land. As such, this fantastic pocket cruiser is available and ready to go cruising again today. This boat needs nothing other than a new owner with an itch to sail over the horizon.

"A little history on the Cape Dory 30 MKII. All Cape Dory�s were built in East Tauton, MA. Thousands were built. Carl Alberg was the designer of all of the Cape Dory sailboats except the 30 MKII. Clive Dent was the nautical engineer at the Cape Dory facility and came to the conclusion that by the late 80�s, the Alberg designed Cape Dory�s were becoming a little out of date. They were awesome sailing yachts but buyers were interested in something a little beamier and a little more modern looking. With that in mind, Mr. Dent took the Carl Alberg designed 30 and tweaked it out. He increased the beam from 9�3� to 10�6�. He added a roller furling head sail. Instead of a navigation station down below he used that space for a quarter berth. He added a couple of bigger windows on the aft portion of the cabin. And a few other upgrades. Only 31 were built before Cape Dory (among other boat builders) went out of business in the late 80�s and early 90�s. Ours is hull #29. As it turns out it was one of the last boats Cape Dory ever built. Wherever we are at anchor, invariably someone will come over to us and ask us if she is a Cape Dory. Even other Cape Dory owners can�t quite figure her out, at first. She has that Cape Dory look but definitely a little more modern looking which is exactly what Clive Dent had in mind. The 30 MKII�s are definitely very special little yachts. We love ours to death."
