As a departure from C&C's racer/cruiser identity, the Landfall 38 was the centerpiece of their dedicated cruising line. Rob Ball & the rest of the C&C design team focused on comfort, tankage and seakindliness without losing the sleek lines that were the hallmark of the Canadian builder. The LF38 offers a stable platform for offshore passages. Her sail plan maintains a respectable SA/D ensuring capability in light winds. She tracks exceptionally well due to her modified fin keel & large, skeg-protected rudder. The interior of the LF38 is considered to be one of the nicest production cabins of its time. High-quality teak joinery and a thoughtful configuration features the traditional V-berth forward, with a head to port and a hanging locker to starboard. The main salon utilizes a U-shaped settee and a straight settee opposite providing ample seating for a full crew or family. The galley is deep and U-shaped so the cook is secure while underway. Ventilation is significant with multiple overhead hatches and opening ports. The headroom is 6'2". She sleeps a total of 6 between the forward cabin, main salon & quarter berth. The owner is getting out of sailing. A previous owner repowered the inboard so it is in very good working order. The owner keeps it in a slip and it is in the water now. The slip is available for sale if interested, or for rent if not interested in purchasing.
