Good Handling: Balanced helm and well-designed sail plan contribute to ease of handling, whether racing or cruising.
Cons
Aging Systems: As a boat from 1981, many of the onboard systems, including electrical, plumbing, and engine components, may require updating or replacement.
Maintenance Intensive: Older fiberglass boats like the C&C 40 can demand regular maintenance to address issues such as gelcoat wear and potential osmosis.
Limited Modern Amenities: Compared to contemporary yachts, the 1981 model may lack some modern conveniences and technology, which could require retrofitting.
Cost of Upgrades: Bringing the boat up to modern standards for electronics, sails, and rigging can be costly and time-consuming.
