The MISTRAL comes with stability, comfort, and ease of sail handling,
Description
The splendid MISTRAL has been designed and built to provide the maximum in sailing performance and cruising comfort for both novice sailors and experienced yachtsmen. MISTRAL is a pure bred with some notable innovations that make the yacht extremely "user friendly" features include a step through transom with swim platform and a cockpit configuration for increased comfort and sailing control. MISTRAL has an aggressive sail plan, and a significantly higher volume interior positioning it as a premium performance cruiser that provides the amenities expected by coastal cruisers who need room and stowage for longer voyages. A sturdy cockpit dodger protects the crew from weather and is laid out with self-tailing primary winches for sail trim, lazy jacks for the main sail. Her traveler, mainsheet and main halyard arrangement allow for tweaking the tall main sail from the cockpit and her primary genoa is on a Harken roller furling unit. Sizable deep lazarettes have ample stowage for boat kit. Her topsides and cockpit have the protection of Raptor Deck foam nonskid. Below you find a bright and airy interior with spacious main salon, well, appointed galley and roomy forward and aft cabins. MISTRAL has benefited from dedicated owners who sailed her extensively and maintained her with exceptional care with many upgrades. MISTRAL balances the C&C racing heritage with the comforts required for modern weekend or extended cruising. Her fair entry into the water and handsome lines have heads turning undersail and while alongside the dock. She is ready for fresh adventures and to make memories for a new captain and crew.

Design
The C&C 30 Mk II, introduced in 1988, represents a significant evolutionary leap from its predecessor, the "Classic" C&C 30. The C&C Mk II began as a clean sheet blueprint by well know designer Robert Ball. The C&C 30 Mk II is a notably characterized by a high-aspect masthead rig and a relatively light displacement-to-length ratio. The boat is exceptionally responsive in light air-a common trait of C&C's "performance first" philosophy. Unlike many cruisers of its era that require a stiff breeze to get moving, the C&C Mk II accelerates quickly out of tacks and maintains momentum through lulls. In terms of sea-kindliness, the hull features a modern, flattened exit and a wider beam carried further aft. This provides greater initial stability and a more spacious cockpit. With her tall masthead rig, deep draft, and well-designed running rigging, she sails well on all points of sail.
Interior accommodations
The interior accommodation space of MISTRAL is long on stowage, comfort, quality teak joinery, and elegance. One proceeds down companion way steps from the cockpit to the very light and single level interior. One steps down to the salon/galley with access to the auxiliary diesel is under the companionway steps with engine filters, seawater intake seacock all accessible for ease of maintenance. By utilizing the 10' 6" beam and carrying it aft, Robert Ball was able to incorporate a genuine aft cabin with a double berth tucked under the cockpit sole, a rarity in this size class which underscores the boat's "big boat" aspirations. A T-shaped galley to port and a dedicated navigation station to starboard with Garmin chartplotter, 12VDC and 110VAC circuit distribution panels and DC battery selector switch under the navigation table. Starboard of the companionway steps is a spacious enclosed head. The galley is immediately to port of the companionway ladder. The counter space is ample with a double sink with hot and cold pressure water, a large top-loading refrigerator/ freezer and gimbaled Force 10 LPG stove with oven and broiler. Beneath the deck edge, cabinets flank the stove. Galley storage is ample with lockers and drawers. Materials used throughout the cabin include the signature C&C teak joinery. The main salon features a U-shaped settee to port, a straight settee to starboard and a drop-leaf table that can accommodate four adults comfortably is in the center of the salon. Headroom is generous, exceeding six feet throughout much of the cabin. Hand holds are throughout the interior space. All the sole access boards are easily removed for bilge access. The electrical and plumbing systems have ample capacity, safety, convenience and are carefully concealed from view. Wiring and piping are smartly run and accessible.
