The Bluestar 29.9 is a thoroughly modern yacht, yet one whose looks are steeped in tradition. Her understated classic lines speak of superb craftsmanship that will never go out of style. The Bluestar's interior of white bulkheads with highly varnished teak trim are in the Herreshoff tradition. But her beauty is anything but skin deep. Her twin 300hp Yanmar diesels give her unmatched handling as well as added safety at sea. She can cruise efficiently at 25 knots and can reach top speeds over 30 knots. The deep V hull, designed by Mark Ellis, delivers a smooth, soft ride under any conditions. Her engines are unusually quiet. The Bluestar is a yacht quality boat at 30 feet, small enough to be easily handled, yet large enough to be comfortable and safe. Here is a rare opportunity to own this classic beauty.
Forward is the v-berth under a large hatch and two stainless steel opening ports. Â Next aft to starboard is the head, and opposite is the hanging locker. Â The convertible dinette is aft of the locker and opposite the L-shaped galley. Â Two oversized custom cast stainless steel opening ports are on each side of the main cabin.
Beautiful new teak and holly sole replaced in 2016. Â The interior teak trim is finished in high gloss. Â The interior has CruiseAir reverse cycle air conditioning.
Up three steps is the helm deck. Â The Stidd pedestal seat is to starboard across from the comfortable L-settee. Â The helm deck is fully enclosed by Toast Sunbrella side and aft curtains and zip-out windows.
One step down is the cockpit with its full beam stern seat and an aft facing bench seat. Â The teak coamings are in flawless condition. Â The teak swim platform has a telescoping swim ladder tucked away underneath.
