The Boston Whaler 170 Montauk, a classic design celebrating its 60th anniversary, has been completely redesigned from the keel up. This versatile boat offers extensive customization options, allowing owners to configure it according to their specific needs. The model combines traditional styling with modern innovations, making it a notable choice for both fishing and recreational boating.

Exterior Design and Deck Layout

The 170 Montauk features a thoughtfully designed exterior with nearly 18 square feet of open space in the stern area. The transom includes steps for easy boarding and disembarking, which can be reconfigured into jump seats. A full bench seat with ample storage underneath folds down to create a sun pad. The stern also offers a reversible helm seat that provides aft-facing seating, ideal for supervising swimmers or relaxing. Safety is enhanced by high rails measuring 33 inches at the bow and 30 inches at the stern, with options for a full or split bow rail to facilitate boarding.
