"A handsome yacht whose sky-high price humbled all but the most affluent buyers of her era, the Blackfin 38 Convertible is a stretched version of the original Blackfin 36 Convertible introduced back in 1986. (She became a 38-footer in 1988 when the cockpit was lengthened by two feet.) From her rakish profile to her superb seeking characteristics, the Blackfin 38 set a very high standard for under-40-foot flybridge fishing boats. The cockpit is huge, and her well-planned flybridge provides excellent helm visibility and plenty of guest seating , Galley/dinette down configuration, decent salon and single-stateroom island queen master. A good performer and her Twin 550hp 6V92s will produce an honest 24-25 knot cruise (about 30 knots top).
