Fiberglass/Reinforced
Broker's Comments: The First 36.7 one of the best all-around dual-purpose racer-cruisers of its size and represents an excellent value with solid performance, both in PHRF racing as well as in one design events. DOMINO is one of the cleanest and best-maintained First 36.7s we have seen, and we have sold at least thirty of this model to date. This particular boat has not suffered any "race rash" that is often found on boats of this type. She has been more lightly used than most and has been regularly taken care of. Well equipped with an excellent sail and electronics inventory, this boat has had the important class-legal upgrades to deck hardware and rigging. The bottom was faired and painted by Bristol Marine when new and is in excellent condition, having just had a fresh coat of VC17 applied in August 2015. The below-deck autopilot is an expensive and very desirable upgrade. Later production 36.7s such as this one have the molded fiberglass steering pedestal with trough in the cockpit sole. This makes it easier for the driver to steer because the very large wheel is lowered, there is a better place to brace one's feet when heeled, and the double-spoke wheel is sturdier. Other improvements over earlier models include the black painted spars (in excellent condition) and the lighter interior Alpi wood joinery below. The lighter wood not only brightens the interior but wears better than the original varnish on earlier boats. Overall Domino compares very favorably with other boats of this size, type and price range and should not last long on the market.
Currently stored on land at Niagara on the Lake Sailing Club, NOTL, Ontario, mast up in steel cradle.
