Broker's Comments: The 10R is an excellent racer in PHRF-LO 89 or IRC or One Design, and "Striker" was Club Champion in 2011. The 10R design is a comfortable dual-purpose boat with a usable and practical interior that is nicely finished. The spacious molded head forward with rounded hatch above allows for convenient spinnaker launch and retrieve. Compared to most racers of comparable size and performance the 10R offers more comfort with the ability to sleep aboard, headroom to stand up, a real galley, a chart table, large head and storage, and sturdy construction. These capabilities set it apart from other boats and also improve resale value.
"Striker" is a two owner fresh water boat sailed and maintained by experienced and successful owners. There are two rudders, both designed by Farr: the original plus an oversized custom model built by Custom Composites. The rudders are interchangeable. The oversized rudder is currently fitted and improves the handling, especially when sailing single-handed.
It has the added second battery option and two AGM batteries. The autopilot and chart plotter are interfaced into the NKE system. "Striker" also has the added additional rope clutches to run the two mainsail reefs aft to cockpit. The two spinnaker halyards are set up with one to the masthead and the other fractional height. Additional new 3 gal Quick hot water and LPG stove systems have been added. The 10R is a super dual purpose yacht which can win the silver on the race course and take the family out day sailing or cruising safely and easily.
