Don't miss this opportunity to own a rare and fully refurbished 1997 Back Country 171 Pro Guide flats boat.
This vessel began as a stock boat in the condition you would expect for a 27-year-old boat. The deck and hull were separated to allow for full access to all wiring and plumbing. Everything was replaced, including wiring, plumbing, fuel tank, and all hardware, and the interior of the hull was thoroughly cleaned and coated. When re-assembled, the rub rail was replaced with a stainless rail and integrated navigation lights. The deck was coated with a beautiful non-skid that glitters in the sun. The helm seat was re-upholstered with a custom design, and the helm wheel was replaced with a paracord-wrapped stainless wheel on a brand new Seastar hydraulic steering system. The new electrical system features 3 Optima marine batteries and a three-bank charging system. A Rhodan 80lb saltwater trolling motor was installed on the bow, controlled via a Garmin touchscreen MFD/navigator. All systems of the vessel, but the lights and pumps, are controlled and monitored via the Garmin MFD. For entertainment on the water, a Rockford Fosgate stereo system is installed.
The Back Country 171 Pro Guide features a massive amount of storage for a vessel of its size, including two locking rod lockers in the gunwales, each capable of storing three rods. The rear casting deck features two live wells, one of them being a live-release well, and a storage compartment or fish box. The forward casting deck is dominated by a massive storage compartment/fish box.
The new engine is a 2024 Mercury 115 ProXS that comes with an extended warranty through 2030. The engine is run via a fully electronic Command Thrust throttle. It is mounted to the boat on a Seastar Xtreme jack plate, controlled via a joystick at the helm. A poling platform covers the engine and protects is from stray impacts with branches.
You will not find another Back Country 171 Pro Guide out there quite like this one, reconditioned with all of the modern amenities, making it a far more capable vessel than when it originally left the factory. Don't let this one pass you by!
