Orion is a 1995 Model (hull number 038) Alerion Express 28 lovingly cared for and enjoyed regularly all season. Stored out of the water and quickly launched and pulled by forklift at Bert Jabin Yacht Yard. Soon to be winterized and covered with a custom built winter cover for the winter. She has a Quantum Main, roller furling self-tacking jib, Spinnaker and spinnaker pole. The boat has a fin keel, spade rudder, folding 2 blade prop, with a dripless stuffing box. 6 gal fuel and water tank, port side berth, single seat on Starboard, and vee berth forward set up with space under the vee berth for a portable toilet (not included). Also included with the boat is the Cradle built by the craftsmen at Bert Jabin Yard and the dock box which holds the winter cover.
Orion has a "Mirror Finish" black topsides white boot stripe and green bottom paint. The classic Schumacher design underbody with automatic bailers from the aft cockpit. The main halyard and trimming lines are led aft to the cockpit including the cunningham, lazy jacks, reefing lines, port and starboard traveler controls. The Standing rigging mast and boom were refinished and rigging wires replaced 2018. The Automatic bilge Pump is NEW. Included with the boat is an auto-pilot system that attaches to the Tiller, a VHF transceiver, an anchor with rode, cockpit cushions, life jackets, a winter cover, and all Coast Guard required equipment.
