"Kiwi is a Well Built Semi-Displacement Albin 40 Trawler with a Traditional Trawler Profile, and if you are looking for a GREAT Economical Trawler to do the loop or you want to head to the Bahama's she is the perfect boat and only burns 3.1 GPH at 7.1 knots.
This vessel is owned by a VERY Knowledgeable owner who has updated and maintained all the systems since he has owned "Kiwi".

"The Albin 40 Trawler is a sturdy semi-displacement cruising yacht with a traditional trawler-style profile, full teak interior, and comfortable cabin accommodations. (Note that her sistership, the Albin 40 Sundeck, is the same boat with a full-width aft deck and slightly increased owner's cabin dimensions.) Both models share the same two-stateroom, galley-down interior with a queen bed aft and port and starboard deck access doors in the salon. Visibility from the lower helm is quite good, and while the all-teak interior can be a little oppressive, traditionalists will probably find it to their liking. The flybridge seats six, and the full walkaround decks of the Albin 40 are a big plus when it comes to dockside line handling. While a single 135hp Lehman diesel was once standard, most Albin 40s were sold with twin 135hp Lehmans (10 knots cruise/13 knots top) or-more recently-210hp Cummins (12 knots cruise/15 top). Note that the props and rudders are well protected from grounding by the deep skeg. Moderately priced on the used markets and inexpensive to operate, the Albin 40 is a good choice for liveaboards of retired cruisers on a budget......" **Please note that "Kiwi" has the Twin Volvo Engines option.
