No one ever expects a trawler to get them anywhere quickly...that's not the point.
Trawlers are about getting you to wherever you're going in a relaxed, comfortable, lived-in fashion. The steady, quiet cruise that is itself, a joy. The flybridge at sunset and an evening breeze that washes the heat away. The roomy, comfortable salon that invites family and friends, companionship and conversation. The cozy yet highly functional stateroom that becomes your safe haven...away from the noise, the storm, the cares of the day.
Now add to this, all the comforts above and a bit better performance just when you need it...pushing you just ahead of a storm to a safe harbor or simply keeping you on schedule for a more ambitious coastal cruise.
This is what their 1986 Albin 34 Fast/Family Trawler, "Paumanok" has meant to her current owners...17 years of sheer bliss, comfort, performance and dependability.
The #3 hull of less than 50 manufactured, "Paumanok" is a rare find with a unique history and legendary popularity. Having been modified for life on a mooring, she's pretty much self-sufficient. And she's been around...cruising from LI Sound to Nantucket, to coastal Maine and many ports along the way.
Attention Great Loopers! "Paumanok" could be exactly the comfy, extended cruise trawler you've been waiting for...superbly equipped, and very affordably priced!
She features:
- Spacious and highly functional Tri-cabin layout
- A powerful yet fuel efficient Cummins 210hp turbo diesel engine with 2300 hours
- Dual helm stations...at flybridge and pilothouse
- Bow thruster
- 2 Solara 100w solar panels - fully functional for battery charging (under shrink wrap keep batteries charged for months)
- Garmin / Furano navigation electronics
- Honda 3.2kw Generator
- Private "Owners Cabin" aft with head
- "Galley down" with day head/shower
