Rugged Offshore Rig - Reliable Single Diesel - 1 Owner Since New
This Albin 28 Tournament Express is a great opportunity for someone looking to fish hard and save on slip fees and fuel costs. The Pilothouse offers excellent protection from the elements and the cabin below can accommodate overnight group fishing trips or night stays at Catalina. The single Volvo D6 310hp diesel is a reliable power plant that the seller has had professionally maintained to a high standard. The wide beam makes the 28 TE a stable platform offshore and the cockpit space is larger than most boats under 30'. The Simrad electronics are updated with the newest version of maps/charts and all work nicely. The hull was refinished with linear polyurethane to match its original Flag Blue in 2010. Modifications include converting the 3 transom storage compartments to live wells, installing polished SS rod holders on the pilothouse roof, installing a polished SS mini-tower on top of the pilothouse, and upgraded the Navionics for the Simrad multifunction display. Commissioned in 2005 and purchased new by the current owner this Albin TE 28 has been kept in good condition and is turn key ready for a new owner. Contact us today!

Albin 28 Tournament Express OverviewOne of the most popular 28-foot cruisers ever, the Albin 28 TE combines classic Downeast styling with a spacious cockpit and comfortable cabin accommodations. The 28 is heavily built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam, hard aft chines, and a prop-protecting skeg keel. A cushioned engine box behind the helm seats dominated the cockpit until 2003 when a Flush Deck option moved the engine forward, under the helm deck, narrowing the quarter berth but opening up the cockpit in a big way. Below deck, the surprisingly roomy interior of the 28 TE has the comforts of a larger boat with a full-service galley with fridge and microwave to port, standup head/shower to starboard, mid-cabin berth aft and a convertible U-shaped dinette forward. A teak and holly sole was standard, and six opening ports provide good cabin ventilation. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, transom door, trim tabs, full-height bow rail, raw-water washdown, bow thruster, and transom storage boxes. u00a0
